Kingfisher Venues

We are based at Hornsey School for Girls, N8 on Thursdays and Fridays, we also have a session at Coldfall Primary School, N10 on Tuesdays

Kingfisher specialise in very small coach/gymnast ratios, we work on a 1:6 ratio and will not be increasing the size of the groups as we pride ourselves in quality rather than quantity. Each individual is given the time and attention they need to progress safely and swiftly.

Session Rules

British Gymnastics have provided us with guidance on how we can safely and legally run sessions at this time, which will be important for you to consider before booking. We apologise for the inconvenience, but it’s the only way we are allowed to resume sessions.

  • Participants must already be wearing their gymnastics attire when they arrive at the venue e.g. underneath their clothing / tracksuit / onesie, ideally something easy to doff / don. Currently, we do not provide changing facilities.
  • Acceptable attire includes leotard (and optional shorts), or a non-baggy t-shirt and shorts. For safety when supporting and for insurance reasons, gymnasts must not wear loose or baggy clothing, jumpers / hoodies,  tights / leggings. Anyone wearing these items will not be able to use the apparatus.
  • As per British Gymnastics rules and their insurance policy wordings, no jewellery is permitted at all during sessions. Jewellery must be removed, or they must be fully covered e.g. with plasters or medical tape which you must provide yourself. We cannot permit anyone with exposed jewellery to take part until removed or covered.
  • Due to the volume of Gymnasts in the coridoor awating their class/leaving the building, parents / carers are strictly forbidden from entering the venue which means that participants will be collected and dismissed at the door.
  • Doors will open to gymnasts a couple of minutes prior to the session start time, then closed when the session starts.
  • Hornsey School for Girls customers must not park on Inderwick Road and instead use the main car park (at the back of the building , opposite the sports hall), this is to reduce the impact on surrounding residents.
  • Because of the restriction on numbers, bookings will be offered on a first come first served basis. We will however actively put on more classes to meet demand.
  • Two weeks is required for all cancellations in order to give us time to fill the space.
