I am Michelle Taylor, I founded kingfisher Gymnastics Club approximately 10 years ago. I have a very enthusiastic team of British Gymnastics qualified staff teaching the classes. We are affiliated to British Gymnastics, English Gymnastics and the London Gymnastics Federation.We do General Competitive, Recreational and Festival Gymnastics catering for both Boys and Girls.

We are a club based in two sites (Hornsey YMCA, Hornsey N8, and Durnsford Sports Centre, Alexandra Park School N11), with an array of classes from Toddlers to Teenagers.

Squad Trials

Submitted on: 17/11/09We held squad trials at the Harringay Club during the October half term. Out of 28 children taking part 8 children were given a place in the squad. Our next squad trials will be just before or after the next White and Blue Competition in the Spring.

Competition News

Submitted on: 17/11/09Kingfisher Gymnasts took part in the white and blue competition on Saturday 7th November. There were many successes. 11 children took part. 8 children received pins which means their score was very high and they need to move up to the next level. We gained 4 medals, 1 gold 1 silver and 2 bronze.

Festivals

Submitted on: 16/02/09our squad will be taking part in three festivals this year. wales, london and liverpool. dates to be confirmed.

GymMark

Submitted on: 07/09/07i am thrilled to say that Kingfisher Gymnsastics Club has been awarded Gym Mark!
The GymMark scheme has been developed by British Gymnastics, in partnership with Sport England and the Home Country Sports Councils, to provide recognition for clubs that are committed to providing quality gymnastics experiences. Gaining GymMark accreditation will mean you will be recognised by British Gymnastics, Sport England and the Home Country Sports Councils as a safe, effective and child friendly club, providing a service in the community, that children and young people, their parents / carers, and others with an interest in gymnastics, can trust.

Welfare Officers

Submitted on: 09/02/07Kingfisher Gym Club is fortunate to have 3 Welfare Officers.
Our Welfare Officers are Parents of Gymnasts within our Club. They have attended Child Protection and Time to listen courses in order for them to qualify for the position.
They are in place in order to offer impartial advice to parents or coaches in case of grievences or concerns regarding the child welfare within the club.
